Irish Kite Surfing Association - Wexford Downwinder 2006

To break up the long summer between competitions, kiters of all levels are getting together for a down wind blast along the coast of Wexford. Last year 6 kiters and one boat did the 4.5km stretch from the Point of Rosslare across Wexford Harbours sand banks to the Raven or the start of the Curracloe beach to meet up with a group of beginners for a BBQ.

This year with 3 to 5 ribs accompanying the group, it will be a 14km spin from Kilmore quay to Carnsore Point (with the possibility of a flat water session at Ladies Island half way) along the south coast of Wexford or Kilmuckridge to Curracloe along the east coast of Wexford depending on wind direction.

Further information is available on the Irish Kite Surfing Association web site.
