Gold Coast - Ballynacourty - Dungarvan - Co. Waterford

Level: Intermediate - Advanced

Shoreline: The Gold Coast faces a south-westerly direction. Recommended to launch about two hours after high tide as water is shallower and more space is available to launch

Wind: Wind is cleanest from a south-west direction

Water: Bay is approx 1 mile wide. Water surface conditions are generally flat but can get choppy during high winds.

Launch: Recommended to always launch as tide is going out.

Parking: Free parking is available in front of the Gold Coast Hotel

Amenities: Pubs and food are available in Dungarvan town

Tips: Recommended to have someone with assist when you launch and land

Directions: Take the R675 from Dungarvan and just outside the town, take a right turn to Ballynacourty for the Gold Coast Hotel.
