Long Strand - Castlefreke - Co. Cork

Description: Long Strand Bay is located in Castlefreke which is about 8 miles south west of Clonakilty. The cresent shaped beach faces a south-west direction and is over a mile long. There is plenty of space to launch. If the tide is high, it can be difficult getting started due to very strong beach dump.

How to get there: The easiest way to get to Long Strand from Clonakilty to drive to Rathbarry and and then take the road to Owenahinchy.
